Robert provides leadership in the development and application of advanced technologies to enhance the design and construction of marine craft. He brings extensive personal experience in the planning and execution of Research and Development programs, risk management, program management, experimental and computational fluid dynamics, inflatable and tension membrane structures, and analysis of sails and sailing yacht performance.

Robert has published numerous technical papers and magazine articles worldwide related to high-performance sailing and powered yachts. He is an associate editor of the NSMA journal of Sailboat Technology and is an Adjunct Member of the Graduate Faculty of the College of engineering at the University of Maryland.

Robert received his B.S. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Webb Institute of Naval Architecture and his M.S. and PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland.
