Dean's training and experiences provide current design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities for application of a wide range of lightweight structural materials. His experiences range from designing structures using first principles to hands-on construction of advanced composite boats. With design leadership experiences, he clearly understands the interactive relationships of all technologies necessary to develop a balanced and optimized performance marine craft having time-critical completion schedules. Dean has authored and presented technical papers and lectures worldwide before professional societies and marine trade groups. Dean received his B.S. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Webb Institute of Naval Architecture. He has extensive graduate level training in marine applications of aerospace materials and composite technologies. Dean is a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia
