While today's marine vessels may be constructed from a wide array of materials, the vast majority of boats and yachts from 10' to 100' are made with composite materials. Composite construction can use single skin layups or sandwich construction and may be comprised of several different materials.

DLBA has developed working relationships with many top production builders who use composite materials. We are well versed in modern techniques to best utilize the attributes that composite construction offers. From relatively simple fiberglass laminates to exotic kevlar and carbon fiber...cores ranging from balsa to advanced closed cell foams...and production techniques employing hand layups, resin infusion, and vacuum bagging...DLBA has the experience and expertise to offer industry leading composite structural designs across the entire spectrum of marine applications.

DLBA regularly works with builders who use one-off composite building techniques as well as builders who use production tooling to produce numerous similar or identical vessels. DLBA's sister company, DLBA Robotics, cuts tooling parts for hulls, decks, and small parts, as well as tooling for non-marine applications.
